This is my maiden attempt that I stayed over the night at home to watch a drama series. It is also my virgin attempt that I shed my tears over a drama. This drama is indeed too touching for me as the main lead is not a typical gorgeous guy or girls that you would find in drama. Yet, the story has been highlighting a guy who is not handsome due to his flamboyant style (i.e. mushroom head, flamboyant clothings) . From this, it is apparent that he faces various social discrimination or stigmatisation till the extent of having no real friends during his college days. On top of that, he is genuinely innocent as he has always been overprotected by his sister when he is young. In fact, he is a extremely rich guy and a protected child. However, he has decided to get rid of such life and tasted the other spectrum of life – being poor. In view of his desire of change, he has brought alot of amusement to a typical audience who is watching this show. For instance, he has never taken a bus and does not even know how does a bus ride would be like. In short, he is a frog in a well all these while even he comes from a wealthy family. In fact, this is his maiden attempt of experiencing what is love when he has met a belligerent classmate. In view of his ignorance, he has managed to win the heart of the girl as he protects her at all cost even though she is very fierce and socially stagmatised. Best of all, the girl really love him despite he portrays the image of being a destitute guy. This is where I was really touched by the whole incident. In fact, I have been a firm believer that looks should not be the yardstick to assess if a person should be your ideal lifetime partner. It is the inner character that is the one who determines everything. It is the one who went through the hard times with you and show genuine care to you during those turbulent moments. This is what I call true love. If I ever chanced upon this ideal lifetime partner, I would never give up and would prove my worth to her. I am serious. Well, the story does not end here. It is just the starting phase of the drama. Hehe… This flamboyant and innocent guy has created a name being used the college days as his authentic name as he does not want people to know his true identity. In fact, it is his sister who taught him that. When he fall in love, he wanted to make known to the girl his true identity on that special day and even intend to pluck his courage to propose to her. Yet, he could not do so anymore as the girl was caught in an accident. I know he should not have bluffed her. Yet, he is left with no choice. In fact, he wants to be truthful to her. But,fate does not seem to allow it. Despite this, he has hunted for her from high tolow. Yet, he has no avail as the girl’s mum told him that she has left to Canada to get married to a rich guy. The girl’s mum threw away the gift the guy has given to her daughter which has significant meaning for both of them. The guy was so despondent that he returned back to his mansions and revert back to his original life of being a rich brat. Well, he is now a decent-looking (if not gorgeous) chap.From then onwards, he does not believe in love anymore. He has become a playboy. Well, love is indeed a double-edged sword. When you truly love someone and put in your heart and soul, you would become very revengeful when you end up being betrayed by the one you love. I know this thought may be very radical or extreme. Yet, we can’t deny that this is human nature. Nevertheless, I do not mean that I would support this thought either. If I were him, I would rather keep the sweet memory with her. Taking revenge would not end your sorrows. It just brings you pain within it. Well, it is easier to say than done as emotions is a dangerous tool. Hmm, let’s go back to the synopsis of the drama. When the girl was discharged from the hospital and came to know about her mum’s doing, she slapped her mum and hunt for him for 3 years. Yet, she would never find him as the name that she knows about him is flawed. I guess fate steps in here. They meet each other at the radio station after the 3 years of hunting. Well, she could not recognise him as he is a different person though the looks are replica but the mushroom head is off. Worst of all, both of them are at odds with each other. In fact, the guy knew that she is the one who he truly loves 3 years ago. Yet, he wants to know the actual facts of her mum’s doings, etc. With all the instigation, he begun to know the truth from her directly and it hurts him terribly. He regretted mistrusting her after he chanced upon her now. Well, things turn out so worst that he could not even disclose his identity during the college days. When she found that he is the one she has been finding all these while (not from his mouth), she ABHOR him for bluffing him. Fortunately, the fate does not end here. It was the fire that brings them together. He went to save her on her last day of work as she was trapped inside her workplace. He even told him that he regretted his doings for mistrusting her when he saw her 3 years later after the college days. He would rather die inside the fire and wants her to lead a happy life since he could never provide her that life. Well, the fire was indeed too blazing then and she was being saved by her senior who happens to be near the scene. The poor chap was damn unlucky as he was trapped inside a bulky building wood. To keep things short, both of them were finally together at the end of episode. This is where my tears could no longer retract as they have indeed gone through alot. I really wonder if I would be able to reach this outcome if I were him. Yes, I must admit that I am NOT a rich guy. Is it a great importance to begin with? I would rather trade it with a case of having sufficient wealth and yet lead a happy life. That is why I told myself that I need to save up for my future whenever possible. I do that not because I want to be rich. I want my future wife to lead a happy life with sufficient financial backing. That is all. From the above episode, I have learnt that fate is indeed cruel at times but I told myself that I must be truthful or transparent and learn to have the trust in my loved one. I would rather have short term pain but long term pain. In any case, I guess I would never forget this episode as it has given me my first exposure in sheding tears in a drama. I know this is foolish. Yet, I can’t help it as the guy has too much of resemblance in terms of characters. I guess this is my sweetest memories so far.
